In partnership with Evergreen Canada, HDSB is proud to announce the Climate Ready School Project, a first in Canada, will transform Irma Coulson PS grounds into a valuable climate-resilient learning space. This summer, we visited for an update & learned what it means for the school.
The overall aim of this project is to help mitigate the effects of climate change by cooling outdoor learning sites with shade and better managing the infiltration of stormwater to minimize flooding. A community unveiling of the project will be held Oct. 6 at the school.

The Climate Ready Schools program has been generously funded by the Balsam Foundation, Intact Financial, and other key funders, with in-kind support from Arup.
