In 2021-2022, we introduced staff, students and the community to the framework of the HDSB’s 2020-2024 Multi-Year Plan and how it drives learning across the system. Now, we take a closer and deeper look at the classroom level, showing how each of the five areas of focus are integrated and implemented into everyday instruction at the elementary and secondary level.

Hello,
Last year, we proudly released a series of videos highlighting the Halton District School Board’s 2020-2024 Multi-Year Strategic Plan, where we explained the framework of this important document and why it guides everything we do, from instruction in the elementary and secondary levels to professional development for staff across the system. The plan is based on five areas of focus: Learning and Achievement, Equity and Inclusion, Mental Health & Well-Being, Environmental Leadership, and Indigenous Perspectives and Awareness.
This year, we are excited to bring you another series of videos designed to bring the Multi-Year Plan into greater focus. We will be taking a closer and deeper look at the classroom level, showing how each of the five areas of focus in the Multi-Year Plan are integrated and implemented into everyday instruction.
Through the Learning and Achievement area of focus, we provide innovative strategies that connect learning to the world and prepare students for a dynamic future. We will show you how that actually looks in the classroom.
Through the Mental Health and Well-Being area of focus, we enhance relationships and positive learning and work climates to help nurture a community where everyone belongs and feels safe. We will show you what that means in our classrooms and workspaces.
It’s important for the Halton District School Board to clearly lay out the principles and goals of our Multi-Year Plan. It’s even more important to show what it really means, how it engages all students and staff, and how this continues to help build a foundation of success.
Our mission is to see every student learn, grow and inspire together. Through the implementation of our Multi-Year Plan, you will see how we do just that.
We can’t wait for you to explore this learning journey with us.
Thank you.
