Irma Coulson PS unveiled Canada's first Climate Ready Schools Ground Oct. 6. It provides a progressive approach to addressing climate change and school ground design and gives #HDSB the opportunity to create experiences for student development connecting hands-on with the environment. Thanks to the partnership of Evergreen in bringing this project to completion, the overall aim is to help mitigate the effects of climate change by cooling outdoor learning sites with shade & better managing the infiltration of stormwater to minimize flooding.
