Commenting Rules
By commenting on any HDSB TV video, you agree that your comment shall abide by the following rules and restrictions:
- Comments must be positive (i.e. they must not state anything neutral or negative about the video).
- Acceptable Example: Anything which is positively-oriented or states something positive about the video in question.
- Unacceptable Example: “This video was okay, I guess.”
- Comments must not contain any profanities, expletives, vulgar language, or content which is otherwise inappropriate for any particular audience.
- Acceptable Example: Anything which doesn’t contain any sort of expletive.
- Unacceptable Example: “This video was [expletive] great!”
- Comments must be related to the video in that they address general or specific content within the video.
- Acceptable Example: “This video was great! It helped me understand how to submit the mileage claim form. I particularly enjoyed the part where toll road expenses were explained to the viewer.”
- Unacceptable Example: “This video was great! It reminds me of a YouTube clip where cars on the highway were caught speeding!”
- Comments must not contain any spam, advertising, or links to other videos.
- Acceptable Example: Anything that does not contain spam, advertisement, or link to other videos.
- Unacceptable Example: “This video was great! Check out this other similar one: http://www.youtube.com/myvideo.html”
- Comments must contribute something of value.
- Acceptable Example: “This video was great! It does an excellent job elaborating on the broader issue of student engagement within the classroom. A number of effective practices that teachers can employ are demonstrated through this content.”
- Unacceptable Example: “This video was great!”
